It was not easy to get to Tenerife in April 2021 (pandemic and all). There were 2 charter companies that fly directly STO-Tenerife at that time (TUI and Ving). We got tickets with TUI because there were some good discounts on hotels which we planned to book for a week to find more long-term housing, but a week after we booked the tickets Tui cancelled them and along the tickets they cancelled all the flights to Tenerife until October. Not cool Tui! So we booked with Ving and they also offered free PCR test which was needed for Spain at that time. We have packed all the stuff in our apartment into boxes and stored them in our storage room because we have rented out the apartment from April 1 (and the tickets were for March 21). Guess what though, we didn't fly at that date because the father of the family decided to get back positive PCR test for Corona.

They cancelled our tickets (reimbursed all the money - so we lost nothing) and told us to wait for 2-3 weeks before we could book again in order to get free PCR tests again. The problem was that April 4 was the last direct flight to Tenerife from STO and we wanted to leave Sweden really bad. So I showed no symptoms of Covid so we decided to book that last ticket and pay for the PCR tests ourselves. In the mean time Alisa didn't go to kindergarten and we were isolating ourselves due to that freaking test result. Plus we gave one more test at the Vardcentral (me and Alena) and they both came negative.

All turned out to be good and we managed to get to Tenerife on that April 4th flight from STO.

Our "vacation" has started.

Now it's half time of our stay here and we just booked our return tickets with Ryanair via Barcelona. We will stay for 2 nights in Barcelona and have a little walk there to enjoy it a bit.
