We have spent in Thailand about 2 weeks now and, to be honest, I was expecting a bit more turbulence with health. I am not worried about us, adults. We can always go to a pharmacy and get the strongest antibiotic to kill the bacteria causing headache, running nose and throat pain. It is a lot harder with the baby - you never know what exactly is happening and how to deal with that.
When it comes to us (adults), we both had a bit of running nose (Alena) and some throat pain (Anton) but quick reaction helped us to get rid of the symptoms in no time!
Alisa (surprisingly) had nothing of those. She handled great the flight and acclimatization in Asia (ftou, ftou, ftou). About few days ago she seemed to have caught some bug in stomach and now she goes through about 10 diapers/day. It is not bad, nothing worrying but a bit strange. We can't figure out what is causing this, because something it seems like she is sick and most of the time she is just great. When I say "sick" it's just that she poops too much and it seems like she has diarrhea but then it is gone to come back the next day. And now she also got some running nose. I blame aircondition in the 'chill house' hotel, it is blowing directly at us at night and Alisa doesn't like to sleep under blanket.
what i mean to say
if you are worried about baby health and that stops you from traveling to Asia then STOP, babies can easily adapt to new conditions, all you need to do is to pay double attention to what the baby puts in the mouth and how much time spends on the sun.
