It has been a while since the last post, but this blog was a mean of communication with friends during our Asian trip, now that the trip is over we don't seem to need it anymore. But the travel life doesn't end!
We were back from Asia around the end of May and in July we went traveling again. This time we hit Europe and decided to try something different from sea, sun, sand. We spent about one week in Prague and here are my impressions.
It seems to be a very nice city, I don't usually enjoy traveling to cities because I feel some kind of pressure that you need to visit all the places of interest and not miss anything important. With pressure it was a bit different. We didn't go to any tourist attractions and spent time just walking around the old town and surroundings, eating nice food and enjoying the weather. A lot of good things around food and cafes, many places worth visiting! I enjoyed a a lot of cups of coffee! Many people speak Russian (not that it affects us but just an observation). A lot of sports with nice views. Check out YouTube channel "honest guide" where guy talks about all you need to know about Prague.
Then we took train to Austria. This was my second high point. Leaving on the edge of Europe I forgot how easy, relatively cheap and very pleasant train travel is. We got a good price ticket from Prague to Innsbruck with a switch in Linz. Austrian trains are supercool, we ended up in the first class and there was a waiter walking around taking food orders and dishes looked good. Very comfy ride took us to Innsbruck. The we went to Ramsau with local train and a very Very scenic ride. I was very impressed by the scenery, I never seen such views. We spent about a week in a valley surrounded by 2k meters mountains. Amazing. I recommend!
Now we are on our way back to prague for a couple of days and we fly back to Gothenburg to prepare to get back to work and plan next trip.
Few notes. Austria is expensive, Prague is cheaper than Sweden but I bet we still ended up spending a little over the budget :). It is all Asia's fault, we got to the new level of cheap which will be hard to beat in Europe.
